Doug attended Queens University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1992. Doug worked at BMO Capital Markets for over fourteen years, holding a number of positions, including Managing Director, Institutional Preferred Share Trading. In 2009, Doug founded Slater Asset Management Inc., a boutique Investment Counsel, specializing in preferred share investing. Doug holds the designation of Portfolio Manager and has joined Lysander as a sub-advisor for the new Lysander – Slater Preferred Share Fund, launched in January 2015.
